SEO Definition
Improving the ranking of a website in Search Engines and as a result getting more traffic on the website.
How to SEO ?
In short there are 3 major factors to get a better Search Engine ranking :
- On page factors (page title, content, etc…)
- Off page factors (accessibility, redirects, …)
- Popularity of the website
SEO Tools
There are several kinds of tools to help you in achieving a better ranking.
- A well structured website (user-friendly & accessible for search engines).
- A SEO friendly CMS, to provide easy meta data control (title, …) and clean URLs.
- Keyword tools are available to help you creating optimized content.
- Some tools can create lots of backlinks to your website. I don’t have experience with these tools, but I’m convinced "natural popularity", in the long run, maybe the best choice.
- Tools to analyze and rate your websites SEO performance (Page Rank, keyword density, Spider simulator, …).
- Tools to check your (evolution of) ranking in Search Engines.
